
and from last year...... a big thank you to all.
The Scholes Village Fete was a great success with over a 1,000 people enjoying the day out. Thank you to the many villagers helped out both during the run up (including a very stormy Saturday where the village lost its power) and the fete itself and also the many people from outside the village who helped too. On the day, we were again blessed with hot and sunny weather.
Mayor Peter Wootton opened this years Scholes Village Fete. Local people enjoyed the many attractions including the ever popular tug of war competition, fancy dress, pet show and children’s races. In addition, this year, a fantastic medieval re-enactment was performed by Escafeld Society. With the sun going down, the celebrations were concluded in the evening with a BBQ and entertainment provided by Brewers Troop.
